Erie Canal & Sims Store Museum Visit
Celebrate the Bicentennial of the Erie Canal by spending an afternoon with a Beaver Lake Naturalist and an Erie Canal Historian at the canal! We will take a narrated boat charter over the 1842 Nine Mile Creek Aqueduct, while enjoying the beautiful sights of the park from the water. After, we will embark on a guided nature hike to look at local plant species and learn more about the history of the canal. You can also visit the Sims Store Museum, which is a replica of the original Sims' Canal Store with many artifacts of the past. This program will take place at the Sims Store on the canalway.
